Floral Fever

Dress: Forever 21 (similar)| Hat (similar) and Gold Bangles: Forever 21|
Shoes: Love Culture| Handbag: Jessica Simpson

"You give me fever..."

Oh how I love floral print! As we get closer to the end of Summer, I can't help but to take advantage of the warm weather and dress for the season. I won't be able to wear any light and airy, easy breezy, brightly colored, floral/tropical prints in a few weeks, so it's only right to wear a perfect-for-Summer outfit; in this case, floral print.

I love flowers, but I never thought to wear flowers all throughout my outfit, and especially pairing different types of floral print in one outfit. I am typically against overdoing it when it comes to prints, but this time I felt like doing something I don't normally do. This time, I felt I had a fever...a floral fever.

I styled a Summer outfit around this lovely floral print maxi dress that I purchased in the beginning of the Summer. I like the light fabric of this dress, which is great for the warm weather. I also like how the brightly colored flowers look against the white background of this dress. They almost appear to be floating in the air. I wanted to keep the outfit pretty neutral with the exception of the flowers seen throughout this outfit and the jewelry. I paired this dress with my tan wedges that have a floral print heel. The print on the heel reminds of the print on the dress, so when I put two and two together, they seemed like the perfect match. I wore a gold handbag made out of a straw-like material to give this look a more earthy feel. To top it off, I put on my straw bowler hat with flowers all around. I have to say I was surprisingly pleased with the outcome. I felt like a walking garden.

Thank you for stopping by my blog! I hope you are enjoying these last days of Summer. Be sure to come back for some more Summer inspired looks. See you on the next style post!

"Tu me das fiebre..."

Opposites Attract

Dress: Prabal Gurung for Target (here)| Sandals: Anne Michelle (similar here)|
Leopard Clutch: H&M | Earrings: Target

Greetings and welcome to this weeks style post! Today I am bringing you a Summer look that is as bright, wild, and as colorful as can be. When it comes to colors, I have no boundaries. I love to experiment with all colors. You'd be surprised how much versatility you can get from combining different colors.

I purchased this green dress when Prabal Gurung launched his Spring 2013 collection at Target last year. I fell in love with this specific collection because it was filled with bright, vibrant colors, and beautiful floral, and watercolor-like prints. This green dress made it to my closet because the color caught my attention immediately. This color is so full of life. It screams Summer, fun, and fearlessness, all things that represent me. I wouldn't have it any other way because well...that's the way I like.

On the color wheel, red and green opposite each other. These opposing colors are also known as complementary colors. They say opposites attract right? What better way to show that than by styling an outfit using the complimentary colors red and green. I wore this bright green dress with bright red sandals. I also painted my nails red, my lips, and I wore red flower stud earrings. Notice how these vivacious colors are not fighting each other, instead, they are creating a beautiful harmony. They complement each other. I carefully chose these candy apple red sandals because the bottom, and the heels are made of a cork material. I also added the leopard print clutch made out of a straw material to match the natural color of the sandals. The combination of these natural materials create a balance and give this look an earthy feel.

I hope you enjoyed this post and I hope that you are able to see bright colors in a different light. I dare you to be fearless and play around with colors. Don't be afraid to shine bright.Thank you for stopping by. See you on the next style post!

Bohemian Vibes

Tribal Print Maxi Set: Marshall's (similar skirt here) | Sandals: Qupid (similar here) |
Hair Accessory: Windsor (similar here)| Gold Bangles and Gold Hoops: Forever 21

Maxi skirts and matching print on print sets have been two of this Summer's hottest trends. Of course I couldn't let the Summer pass me by without styling an outfit including these Summer must-have pieces. Maxi skirts are comfortable, light and airy, they look great on all different body shapes, and they create the illusion of long legs. No wonder these skirts a favorite during this time of year. When I saw this chic matching print on print set, I didn't think twice before purchasing it. I was drawn to the bold tribal print and the beautiful vibrant colors.

The bohemian look is one of my favorite looks. It represents my free-spirited, fun loving, artsy personality. This look gives me life. It makes me want to travel the world and dance to the beat of my heart.

I purchased this set in early June at Marshall's. I doubt that it's available anymore, but not to worry, this look can be recreated in a slightly different way. You can start by finding a maxi skirt with a similar print (refer to the link above) and pair it with a plain crop top that picks up one of the colors on the skirt. I chose to wear this outfit with one of my favorite high heel sandals, which happened to match perfectly with this outfit. These sandals add a little more dimension to this long skirt. Unfortunately, I don't think they are available either because I purchased these sandals last Summer (sorry ladies!), but I included a link to ones that are similar in color. I topped this look with gold accessories to give it a more glamorous and dressy feel. This outfit is perfect to wear to an outdoor party, a bon fire party, or music festival.

What do you think of the print on print trend or the bohemian look? Feel free to leave me your comments below. I hope this post inspires you to experiment with different styles, whether it's the maxi skirt, the print on print trend, or the bohemian look. Don't forget to stop back for more Summer style inspirations. See you on the next style post!
