The Door of Opportunities

It's finally Spring! I'm excited about this new season and the weather changing, flowers blooming, birds chirping... what can I say, I just love love love Spring! The weather in Jersey hasn't been exactly cooperating, but it's only a matter of days, maybe a few more weeks before we get some sunlight and a little heat. I have a feeling that with this change in season, time, and weather, there will also be many new changes in my life as well. I am pumped up and very excited because I know great things are bound to happen. Ironically, on the first day of Spring, I happened to go out to eat Chinese food. After enjoying the delicious meal, I open my fortune cookie and this is what it said: "Keep an eye out for new opportunities." My heart was filled with excitement because I really felt this was real; that my life was about to change. This fortune cookie could not have been more accurate. Literally two days later I had new opportunities knocking on my door. I would love to share all of the great things happening for me right now, but I won't bore you with all that right now. One thing at a time, so let me share with you an amazing experience I had this weekend.

This past Saturday I had the wonderful opportunity of meeting fashion blogger/stylist Naty Michele. I have been following her blog for a few months now and I have to say she is an inspiration for me. I definitely admire her ambition and talent. Make sure to check out her lovely blog A Love Affair with Fashion for beauty, fashion tips, and more. This was her first meet and greet, which was hosted by Smashbox makeup line. During this fabulous event we were able to get a master class on how to apply makeup, as well as beauty tips from the makeup artists. Along with that, we were given gift bags, delicious treats, and I even got a chance to chat a little with Naty and her wonderful mother who has been very supportive throughout her blogging career.

After the meet & greet, I got a chance to do a photo shoot of the outfit I wore. During my Spring fever shopping spree, I came across a pair of lime green pants. For anyone who knows me, you know how I feel about bright colors and the color green. I love them! Bright colors bring happiness to my heart. I'm also in love with patterns, textures and anything that involves intricate details --- and what better way to introduce that to the look than by adding this beautifully crocheted lace top. To make this look a little more edgy, I added a black leather jacket, a black studded leather purse, and black heels with an ankle strap.
